ARCANE–Penny Dreadfuls for the 21st Century is a brand new market. Pay rate is 1c a word, and they prefer stories within the 1k-6k range. (ftr–i had this ready to go for the blog a whole 24 hours before duotrope listed it. True!

Kzine–a new British spec fic mag. At this stage it looks to be only open to UK writers, and payment terms aren’t concrete, but it’s worth keeping an eye on, particularly if you’re in the UK.
PARSEC Ink’s Science Fiction and Fantasy Short Story Contest has opened for this year’s subs. Full details here (yes, i know the website kills eyes, but the prize money isn’t too bad).
Psuedopod is back open to subs.
Strange Horizons is closed to subs until the 20th of March.
